The South Delta Regional Housing Authority is dedicated to providing this community with quality, affordable housing that is decent, well maintained, and free from drugs and violent crimes. We endeavor to provide livable communities that are made up of a diverse range of economic incomes so that the children of these communities have role models that are visibly striving to make economic gains from their families. We are committed to providing our residents with as many opportunities as possible to become economically self-sufficient. We shall do all of these things while serving our residents and neighboring citizens with the highest degree of professional courtesy, empathy and respect.

South Delta Regional Housing Authority (SDRHA) Section 8 Program Non-HUD Housing

INTRODUCTION
The Section 8 Program was enacted as part of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, which recodified the U.S. Housing Act of 1937. The Act has been amended from time to time, and its requirements, as they apply to the Section 8 Tenant-Based Assistance Program, is described in and implemented throughout South Delta Regional Housing Authority's Administrative Plan. The Section 8 tenant-based assistance programs are federally funded and administered by South Delta Regional Housing Authority through its Section 8 housing office.
Administration of the Section 8 Program and the functions and responsibilities of the Housing Authority (PHA) staff shall be in compliance with the PHA's Personnel Policy and the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Section 8 Regulations as well as all Federal, State and local Fair Housing Laws and Regulations.
The Non-HUD Housing are properties owned by the Authority. These properties are rental units for a flat rent based on Fair Market Rent. The Non-HUD units receives no federal funds.
